PHASE 1 – Introduction and Analysis of the Fashion System (Weeks 1–6)
- Introduction to the contemporary fashion system
- Viewing and discussion of fashion shows: from the final product to research
- Definition of the concept of “trend” and its dynamics
- The meaning of research and observation
- From concept to product: inspiration, mood, materials, shapes
- Work planning and time management
- Overview of the main industry trade shows: history, value, and function
PHASE 2 – Research Tools and Creative Analysis (Weeks 7–12)
- Study of color in trends: chemistry, perception, chromopsychology
- Photographic analysis and visual and written storytelling
- What is a moodboard and how to create it (paper and digital)
- Creation of a research notebook based on fashion shows and trends
- Study and analysis of the visual identities of contemporary brands
- Development of a coherent concept with the identity of a chosen brand
PHASE 3 – Thematic Research and Book Construction (Weeks 13–18)
- What is visual research and what tools to use (physical and digital)
- Analysis of visual material: quality, relevance, photographic type
- Creation of a research notebook from 3 fashion shows: analysis, inspiration, storytelling
- Creation of 3 mood boards using different media: paper, Canva, Procreate, Photoshop
- Development of research based on 3 trends, historical and cultural study
- Approach to concept design: from theme selection to design idea
PHASE 4 – Development of Basic Collection (Weeks 19–26)
- How to choose fabrics and why: weight, function, visual yield
- Analysis of fashion products: target, market, positioning
- Selection of the type of product to develop and related motivations
- Guided review of the complete project: mood board, palette, research, etc.
- Assignment of an individual theme for the development of a collection
- Development of a personal collection of 15 outfits with a defined concept
PHASE 5 – Brand Exercise and Final Project (Weeks 27–32)
- Assignment of a real brand to each student
- Analysis and understanding of the visual identity of the assigned brand
- Development of a free theme consistent with the brand's values
- Design of a collection of 15 looks inspired by the chosen brand
- Selection of fabrics and construction of color palette and materials board
- Creation of the technical sheets for the 15 developed looks

At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
· Provide the tools to conduct research and gather information and materials related to contemporary fashion trends.
· Develop in the student the ability to analyze and interpret fashion phenomena as a body of knowledge useful for research and design.
· Provide the correct methodology to compose and develop a complete and effective collection book.
· Transmit the knowledge and tools necessary to create mood boards, color palettes, and professional material folders.
· Guide the student through the complete design process of a collection, from the initial idea to the final product.
